Trade Scope and Complete Size to Dashboard Risk
Choose which external trades Trade Dashboard manages, define their SL/TP policy, and understand when manual size completion can add volume.
Define the management scope
- Open Settings → Trade Scope. Enable manual trades, other-EA trades or both according to the sources you want to include.
- For other EAs, enter comma-separated Magic Numbers; a blank field includes all other-EA magic numbers. Choose the current chart symbol or all-symbol management.
- Set separate SL and TP policies for manual and other-EA trades: preserve existing values, fill missing levels, or replace them according to the enabled options.
- Review the included positions and orders, then configure their Partial Close, Breakeven and Trail management. Enable Complete Size only after checking the dashboard risk target and final SL.
Scope and management are separate decisions
Trade Scope selects eligible external trades; management settings define what happens to them. Manual includes eligible trades opened outside the dashboard, including mobile or web entries. Magic Numbers distinguish other EAs; they do not describe an order’s risk.
Removing a magic number from the accepted scope releases those external trades from dashboard management; it does not close them. The dashboard’s own trades remain managed. Check other EAs before allowing two systems to modify the same SL.
Complete Size adds a supplement
For an eligible manual position below the calculated target volume, the dashboard can open an additional trade in the same direction. Risk-based sizing requires a valid SL; the calculation uses the final managed protection and symbol volume rules. A position already at or above the target is not reduced by this option.
The supplemental request must pass execution checks. On MT5 hedging accounts it can be a separate position; on netting accounts it merges into the symbol’s position. Inspect the resulting volume and protection.
Example: 0.10 lot toward a 0.25 target
If the eligible manual position is 0.10 lot and the calculated dashboard target is 0.25, the illustrative supplement is 0.15 lot, subject to normalization and acceptance. If the position is already 0.30 lot, Complete Size does not trim it to 0.25.
The risk target is calculated, not a guaranteed maximum realized loss. Market fills, stop execution and costs can differ from the planned values.
Common checks
- External trade missing? Check manual/other-EA switches, Magic Numbers and symbol scope.
- SL or TP changed unexpectedly? Review the separate preserve/missing/replace policies and any other active EA.
- No supplement? Check eligibility, existing completion, target volume, required SL, lot step, margin and the dashboard’s restriction feedback.
