Trade Object Rules in Trade Dashboard

Turn a drawing on the current chart into a one-time price alert or trading rule. Choose a live price crossing or wait for a completed candle before the action runs.

Create a chart-object rule

  1. Draw a supported object on the chart where the rule should run, then open Trade Object Rules and select it from the list or with Pick chart object.
  2. Choose the Action and a Trigger such as Ask crosses above. Select Price crossing for live checks, or After candle close and the desired timeframe.
  3. Choose alert methods. For a new trade, first prepare the Trade tab values, then click Set rule. Check the active table and edit applicable Lot, Entry, SL and TP values there.
  4. Keep the dashboard running on this chart. Monitor the rule until it executes; use X to remove it without deleting the drawing, or recreate it to change its condition or action.

Three practical examples

Price alert: draw a horizontal line at an illustrative 1.10500, choose Alert, Ask crosses above, Price crossing and Screen. Click Set rule. A fresh crossing triggers the alert once and removes the rule.

Market entry: choose Buy with Ask crosses above a trend line. Prepare Lot, SL and TP in the Trade tab before Set rule, then review the active row. A successful crossing action submits a market buy subject to execution checks; the line is a trigger, not a guaranteed fill price.

Closing positions: choose Close Buy with Bid crosses below a selected line. The rule targets eligible managed buy positions on this chart's symbol. Use After candle close if the decision should wait for completed candles on the selected timeframe.

Choose an object and a rule

Open Trade Object Rules from the dashboard header. Select an existing user-drawn horizontal line, trend line, rectangle or triangle from the list, or use Pick chart object and click it on the chart. Dashboard objects and trade-history marks cannot be selected.

Choose Alert, Buy, Sell, a Limit or Stop pending order, or Close Buy, Close Sell or Close All. New trade rules copy Lot, Entry, SL and TP from the current Trade tab; applicable values can be edited directly in the active-rules table.

Define the trigger

Select Bid or Ask crossing above or below the object. Price crossing checks consecutive live prices. After candle close compares the last two completed candles on the selected timeframe, on the first tick of the next candle. For rectangles and triangles, an upward crossing uses the upper edge and a downward crossing uses the lower edge, within the object's time span.

Alerts and lifetime

Choose any combination of screen, sound, push and email. An Alert-only rule needs at least one delivery method. Rules belong to the chart and symbol where they were created. The rule is removed after its alert or trade action succeeds, or when its chart object is deleted. A failed trade action stays active and waits for a new crossing.

Use X in the table to delete a rule without deleting its drawing. To change the object, trigger, check mode, action or alert methods, delete and recreate the rule. Trading actions remain subject to the dashboard's normal execution checks.

Common questions

  • Does the rule repeat? No. A successful action removes it. A failed trade action stays active and waits for a new crossing.
  • Does deleting the drawing cancel its rule? Yes. X removes only the rule; deleting the bound object also removes its rule.
  • Can one rule run on all symbols? No. It belongs to the chart and symbol where it was created. To change the object, condition or action, delete and recreate the rule.
